Changes to Service Provider diagnostic tools.
« on: Dec 10, 2010, 14:37:38 »
Dear All,

As of Monday 13th December BT are revoking the diagnostic tool known as Woosh in place of KBS (Knowledge Based Diagnostic). This removes a lot of functionality from the ISP, we will no longer be able to perform specific detailed line tests to diagnose your fault. Instead, KBD will run a blanket test to detect any fault condition, we are then presented with a Pass or Fail result with limited feed back.

A Fail response will allow us to forward the case on to BT for further investigation.

If a test Passes but you wish us to forward the case to BT anyway you will be presented with an SFI appointment, at this point you will be asked to read the FAQ and accept possible charges before continuing.

Please note: No additional remote diagnostics will be carried out by BT if the KBD test Passes.

With this in mind it is now more important than ever to perform the local diagnostics advised by the Support Team  before your case is passed on to BT for further investigation.

Regards,

Miriam
