ethernet to ethernet router with voip gateway
« on: Sep 27, 2009, 19:51:00 »
Can anyone reccomend me a good router with ethernet on both lan and wan sides* and able to connect an analog telephone to both SIP and a landline. I have been using a grandstream handytone 486 but it's died/dying (last time I tried to power it up it didn't work but it might for a while after it's cooled down) and the router side of it was pretty shitty so I don't want to buy an identical replacement.

*This is going to be used (yeah not the best ISP but I wanted the TV service and the quick installation from scratch) on virgin media cable not ADSL hence the need for ethernet on both sides

Sorry, mate, but I've got no experience of cable routers. I'm sure someone will be along to help shortly, but if we can't come up with an answer, ask on ThinkBroadband.
