This stick-in-the-mud is still running XP (yeah - I know - I know...) I'm planning to upgrade to Win10 and they say it must be a clean install. So - plan A is to unplug my current hard disks and install Win 10 on this new clean solid state HD
Now some questions spring to mind:
1. Can I just plug my old disks back onto the system and read the data thereon or do I have to copy all the stuff out onto CDs or whatever and then re-initialise the disks.
2. Would it be possible to create a dual-boot setup (Win10 + XP). Thinking about it, this may be the best way to go, bearing in mind both my printer and my scanner are fairly ancient - what hope to find drivers for them?
I know in my subject line I suggested that I'm late into this upgrade lark but... look at all the crud that Microsoft has bee shovelling out between XP and 10

Windows 10 should read the XP disk without any issues.
