Title: dial up settings
Post by: Bud on Jul 15, 2007, 18:01:05
I'm using a speedtouch 330 usb modem on homelite package.

Everything has been fine apart from speed since I first logged on 10 days ago but I've now noticed I keep getting a 718 error message when trying to log on and my speed shown on the icon has dropped from 3.7mbps to 2.4mbps with the actual speed at approx 1.5mbps.

What should my dial up settings be?

Check out this (http://www.modemsite.com/56k/duns718.asp) site for an explanation of the 718 error.

How did you set up the connection, using the Speedtouch CD? It might be quickest to delete the current one and start again. What settings do you need to know?
