Title: Routers - a quick question
Post by: peasblossom on Jul 27, 2013, 17:45:35
Following on from Brian's post about network maintenance, how do you power down a router? I reset mine by unplugging the power cable for a while and plugging it back in again if I need to. Would that do if I have problems tomorrow?

Yes you can always power it down that way or some routers have an on/off switch at the rear.

With most you can also access the router's control panel by entering it's IP which is usually shown on its information sticker on the bottom but can be changed via the control panel and click a reset/reboot button.
