Post by: Baz on Dec 30, 2012, 14:38:36
why do some of my email accounts with IDNet leave messages on the server after getting them and some dont.

I have one account inbox that is getting full and when checking it from web mail it takes longer to open.Yes I can just delete them from web mail but why need to when I dont have to with other accounts

Probably because in your mail client settings you've got it set to leave mail on the server.

It'll be in Server Settings in OE.  Is it POP or IMAP?

There'll be a tick box somewhere that says leave mail on the server.

Win 7 has no actual email client, you download one like Windows Live mail. OE was deemed to be a bit of security risk.
