Please use this thread to report any bugs or changes in forum functionality that have occurred since the maintenance period. We are aware that forum avatars are no longer being displayed. The files exist but are not loading probably due to an indexing problem. Although this is being investigated, there's no ETA on a fix. You might want to consider uploading you avatar again or alternatively, pm me and I will try and locate the file for you. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Pics under usernames, Baz, some went walkies. We still have the files, but they are not linking properly to profiles for some people.
Trust me, we are poking with great endeavour. ;)
Forum seems zippier, well done Zap.

I'm seeing problems with smileys, flashing on and off, anyone else?
In posts or on the selection bar/window, Ted?
What do you open an Ogg with, Ted?

VLC will do it. I see it both in posts and the selection bar, they look like xmas lights!
Not here. Which browser, Ted?

FF, will try chromium.
Thanks.
Hmmm! perfectly ok in chromium. ???

Nope, cleared everything, still the same, Dorset's avatar is doing the same. I had to change mine, it was going mental.
It was, wasn't it.
No problems here, Win7 64bit, Opera, Firefox and IE9.
Thanks, Dorset.
OK, I think it's me. I put Mandriva 2010.2 on a spare hard drive this morning and just swapped back to the one with Mint on it, and it's fine.
I'll try downloading the generic version instead of the distro included version. It does sometimes break with updates, and it was updated earlier.
Ho Hum!
That would be a big phew from me, Ted. :)

Yeah, soon as I saw it was ok in chromium I thought it was a FF issue, strange coincidence though! ::)
You just wanted to watch me sweat, didn't you. ;D
PCLinuxOS 2010 , Konqueror, Firefox, Opera no problems.
:thumb:
It's all superb here W7 32bit, IE8
:thumb:
Thanks, Den.
I've noticed that the forum remedial work seems to have given some members a new lease of life.
:nana:
;D
:pmsl:
Just got back and swapped to the Mandriva disc, downloaded FF from Mozilla and it works properly, no smileys or avatars flashing off and on. Maybe it's just me but I find more often than not, FF updates break the program. Recently I had an update that refused to let me copy and paste. It doesn't seem to matter if it's distribution specific or the generic .bz2 version.
BLOODY UPDATES! :rant2:
;D
We've been working on some fixes too, Ted, so it could be either.

Definately FF, Rik. Still bad on the distro version.
If it's not us, that's fine by me. ;D
Perhaps you should try Windows, Ted? :)x

Actually, I did. The smileys are all good, but the avatars are still bad! :shake:  ;D
;D
That should be fixed now.
