Title: Netgear DGND3300v2 Lastest Firmware WARNING
Post by: mk1 on Dec 18, 2010, 12:19:04
Warning to Users of the DGND3300v2 Router
[/size]
Don't update to the lastest version v2.1.00.46 as there is a bug in this.

The Bug:
I updated to v2.1.00.46 released 12/13/2010. The wireless G signal either drops completly or is very low. I have tested this from a Mac, Win7 and a smartphone all with either showing no wireless G signal for the main or guess SSID. The wireless N works fine. It does not work by reseting the router after upgrading using the hard reset button.

If you do upgrade this can be fixed by downgrading again;
An older firmware can be downloaded from Netgear FirmwareHERE (http://kb.netgear.com/app/products/model/a_id/12063/session/L2F2LzEvc2lkLzRZUDR0UGhr)
Click downloads then "show all versions" The previous version i had was V2.1.00.41_1.00.41 which covers a EU router.

Please post below if you have the same issue with this firmware release. Also see the netgear forums.
