Title: 2Wire and RouterStats
Post by: joe on Feb 15, 2010, 08:27:18
Can I use RouterStats with the 2Wire - or is it unnecessary given all the stats that the 2Wire has to hand?

If it can be used, what is the correct login to access the stats page on the 2Wire?

Routerstats Lite** (http://www.vwlowen.co.uk/internet/files.htm) works with the 2700HGV and is pre-configured in the setup options.  The V5 firmware does not need your login details, but V6 does.

** See bottom of webpage

kinmel,

Thanks, but RouterStatsLite shows error connecting to router.

URL is correctly configured to http://gateway.2wire.net/xslt?PAGE=B02&THISPAGE=B01&NEXTPAGE=B02 and password only is entered for login.

Any suggestions?  same url on web browser does bring up VIEW BROADBAND LINK DETAILS successfully

I assume then you have a V5 firmware on the router.

You need to select the 2700HG-B,-V  option for the router and then set the page on the URL tab.

thanks kinmel, that did it.

Strange when there is a setting for 2Wire BT 2700HGV (5.29.107.12) which mine is that does not work!

Although the router does have good stat reporting, it doesn't log the change in noise margin over time, which is normally the primary reason for using routerstats. :)
