Hey Dorset, why don't you publish instructions for cutting your throat or jumping off a bridge?  Would be about as helpful as showing people how to get Vista. ;D

They need Linux don't they?  :banana2:

And why isn't there a penguin in the smileys next to the banana????

You should have known there would be more to follow ;)

Vista...............the joke of the century,it just gets better everyday.

Forums full of people crying about their new Lappy that won't run ( supplied preloaded on a machine that doesn't meet the required specs) Pc's that worked and now are frozen /won't boot and the owner has upgraded and now finds his licence for XP is no longer valid and he can't use it again.............shame as the XPSP2 instal was working  ::) ::)

Ho hum they will never learn........still the repairers/techs are going to get a nice bonus sorting out the mess.

People won't ever learn, because the great mass of them can't be bothered to put the time or effort into it. Many people have to have the latest [fill in gap here] regardless of whether they need it, or understand what it can do. Look at the number of people rushing to HD TV when there is precious little to watch in HD.

With computers, most people I know have never heard of spyware, are likely to be caught by a phishing scam and, when it all goes wrong, will just pick up the phone and ask someone else, often me, to sort it out for them.

If I wanted the restrictions that Vista brings, I'd go into S&M!  ;)

Hasta la Vista..

Agreed Rik, the worst bit is they attempt to justify their latest purchases, you know the type, 42" Plasma/LCD  in a room the size of my shed, all on the over stretched plastic.. oh well.
