Email setting
« on: Jul 07, 2017, 21:22:55 »
I've had to set my Pc back to factory settings and can't get Windows live Mail to install.  Is there another email software than can do the same as I can't be bothered always going on the web to access my email.

Also what are Idnet's setting for downloading email to desktop?

You could have a look at Thunderbird, Lona:

And the email settings are here:

I've heard good reports about the new Outlook Express Lona.  It's very similar to the version we used in the olden days.   :D

Sorry I'm late at replying but I couldn't logon. It kept saying there was no lona.  Just tried again and got in first go.

Decided on Thunderbird mail server, didn't know there was a new Outlook Express, Clive.  Used Outlook Express years and years ago.

It's very similar to the original Lona.  I'm certain you would love it.

I couldn't find it, Clive.  Any chance of a link?

Ah, so it isn't actually a Microsoft product, which is probably why I couldn't find it.  Looks useful, though.   :thumb:
