ThinkBroadband Speed Test Results
« on: Feb 21, 2017, 14:46:43 »
Hi All

Every month the ThinkBroadband team release a table showing the rankings of all the ISPs whose customers have run a speedtest on the TBB site the previous month.

Sadly, we didn't feature in the table for January because the "sample size was too small". Please may we ask as many of you who might feel inclined to please run a speedtest on their site and rate us, preferably at least one per month? The speedtester is here:-

This would be most appreciated as it is a great marketing tool for us and encourages many potential new customers to check us out.

Thank you very much.
Simon

Thanks to everyone who performed a Thinkbroadband speed test last month. We registered enough tests to be listed this time and we achieved a perfect Quality Metric score of 1.00 ! http://www.idnetters.co.uk/forums/Smileys/custom/smiley.gif

Only a very small number of ISPs achieved this highest of Quality scores.

The speedtest results are here: http://www.thinkbroadband.com/news/7650-uk-broadband-speed-test-results-for-february-2017.html

Frustratingly, we did slip down the table a bit though as it is sorted be Median Download speed and we seem to have registered quite a few tests from customers who happen to be on quite long lines that are a fair distance from their cabinets and/or Exchange. Sadly we cannot change the laws of physics so there is not much that we can do about this. As such the Median Download speed does not measure the potential performance that a customer could achieve if their line were better - something that is not within the power of the service provide to improve. Thinkbroadband are working hard on an update to their website which will allow visitors to choose which column to use to sort the data rankings.

We would very much appreciate it if as many customers as possible could please do at least one speedtest each month to help keep us in the table. That would be really great.

And if anyone has the inclination to leave a review of us on the ISP Review site that would be very good too!

Thanks again
Simon
