I always feel a spare router may come in handy one day, so tend to keep them.

I've still got an old DG834G (version 1) in a cupboard. I'm sure it'll come in handy one day. :)

Well, I did tell a little fib, as I forgot about the other three 2700s I accumulated, but if all those get stiffed by the update, I'll just have the one Netgear to fall back on.

I'm thinking of getting a Speedtouch for the cupboard, just in case. :)

I've spent half the evening looking for a CD. Buggered if I can find it.  :(

Overnight BT have re-started the roll-out of V6 firmware, any 2700 using 5.29.117.6 firmware will be updated unless the ACS_URL has been changed as previously explained.

After the upgrade it is NOT possible to change back to old firmwares later.

Thanks Alan.  Do I need to worry about 5.29.107.19 yet?

In the event Simon, being a little reluctant myself to start with, it was very easy to do.  :thumb:
Just follow the steps one by one and it will be done.

Les.

If you don't change it, then you will be updated.

Although the V6 firmware version number remains unchanged, some of the bugs have been fixed
